The Kewtech LOOPCHECK107 Mains Socket Tester with Loop Check and RCD test is a handy piece of kit for professionals and DIYers alike. It does much more than an ordinary plug-in tester and can detect rough loop tests and mains reversal tests. However, it can't detect an earth/neutral crossover, and for BS7671 testing, a calibrated instrument should be used instead. The loop test is indicative only, providing quick visual indication. It is important to periodically check the instrument against a known source for future use. The RCD test facility is also a great addition for a simple but effective test. Customers have reported it to be a very sturdy tool that works great even after being dropped several times. However, one customer reported a faulty product. With this product, every home can periodically test their sockets for faults, and it will also save time and help avoid customer annoyance for professionals.
