Zero To Infinity

**Editorial Review** "Zero To Infinity" marks a notable addition to the illustrious discography of Gong, offering listeners a rich tapestry of spaced-out jazz and psychedelic influences that fans of the genre are likely to appreciate. The album presents a harmonious blend of classic Gong elements and contemporary musical directions, led by the familiar and evocative voice of Daevid Allen, alongside an ensemble featuring Gilli Smyth, Mike Howlett, and new talent Theo Travis. The nostalgic yet fresh approach is exemplified in tracks like "Invisible Temple," which showcases a captivating interaction of saxophones and guitars, while "Foolefare" opens the album with a lively instrumental introduction that sets the stage for the journey ahead. Listeners are treated to a diverse soundscape throughout the album, from the energetic sax intro of "Magdalene" to the mellow, contemplative notes of "Damaged Man." Tracks such as "Yoni on Mars" echo the ethereal qualities Gong is known for, providing moments of reflection amid the more upbeat and experimental pieces like "Bodilingus." While the album delights with its Consistent style and musical exploration, it may not appeal to everyone, particularly those who are not already fans of Gong or this genre of music, as the songs do share a distinctive similarity in tone and approach. However, for enthusiasts of Gong's legacy, "Zero To Infinity" serves as an inspiring addition that both honors its roots and pushes boundaries, ultimately creating an uplifting experience. **
