Children's Books Editorial Review
The Cognitive Abilities Test CogAT® Multilevel C Book (Grade 4*) has garnered mixed reviews from customers who have utilized it in preparation for the CogAT test. On one hand, some parents found the practice questions beneficial, highlighting that they closely resemble the format of the actual test, albeit slightly more challenging. One reviewer noted that using the book helped their child achieve impressive scores — with a composite score of 99% — successfully qualifying for the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program. However, several parents expressed dissatisfaction with the book's content and value. A common sentiment was that the 40 pages contained questions that seemed too easy, resulting in quick completion in just a couple of sittings. Others labeled the book overpriced and lacking in depth, with a few stating that the difficulty level was exaggerated compared to their expectations for a preparatory test. Overall, while some found it a helpful tool for familiarization with the test format, others were disappointed with its effectiveness and pricing. As such, Prospective buyers may want to Consider these mixed experiences before making a purchase decision. **
