The fan noise level varies but is usually quiet unless pushing the CPU's performance to its limits. The fan is recommended for Intel i7 with LGA 1155 socket running at 95 watts and can mount to socket 1151. As for Cons, it is generally Considered pricey and can get too loud if you're near it. It also might not be sufficient to keep up under extreme load. The thermal paste on the heatsink had been already placed on a CPU before it was sent, making some customers feel cheated. However, the overheating and noise problem that frequently arise in 1U server systems can be solved with this cooler, as it is efficient at keeping the CPU cool and sits perfectly within the 1U chassis. Customers are satisfied with the performance and would buy again for future 1U builds.
