- The Countess Dubarry is a historical novel written by the renowned French author Alexandre Dumas. But Jeanne is a survivor, and she uses all her wit and charm to outmaneuver her enemies and maintain her position at court. The Countess Dubarry is a gripping tale of love, power, and betrayal set against the backdrop of the decadent and corrupt French court.
