Fortune Telling Editorial Review
The Gothic Tarot is an evocative deck featuring the haunting art of Joseph Vargo, known for creating feelings of melancholy and dread reminiscent of H.P. Lovecraft's works. Though it follows the traditional Tarot format, this deck stands apart with its unique artwork not typically seen in conventional Rider-Waite decks. Each card features rich imagery, such as a ghostly figure in The Fool and the countenanced Count Dracula for The Emperor, inviting deep personal interpretation. While interpretations can be subjective, the accompanying booklet provides a starting point for those curious about Tarot layout and readings, although a more thorough understanding can be gained from the supplementary guide, "The Gothic Tarot Compendium."
