The Mayne Manchester Mail Post is an attractive and sturdy mailbox post that can hold a medium or large mailbox weighing up to 16lbs. While the mailbox arm is specifically designed to hold a mailbox, it may not be suitable for mounting an address area. The post fits a conventional finished/pressure treated 4x4 post that measures 3.5"x3.5", but it can also fit an existing true 4"x4" post due to additional space inside the sleeve. Customers have used different methods to strengthen the support arm, such as using a galvanised 2x4 brace used for decking or purchasing a universal mailbox mounting board.
