The device's Construction is sturdy, but the software is Considered amateurish and an afterthought, missing things like good configuration features, OCR from a PDF, and auto-cropping that shortens each scan after each page. Some positive remarks are that the scanner works well for scanning books and creates high-quality PDF files. The software authors need to go back to school, is the opinion of a customer who is a serious user and wants to make precise adjustments on scans but is expected to purchase an earlier version of the software. Nonetheless, it is compatible with Windows 10 and remains a great scanner even after almost six years of continued use.
