The lighter is not silver plated, but rather made of solid sterling silver. It can be shipped to Taiwan. The item dimensions of all "standard shaped" Zippo lighters are the same, but the "Vintage" Zippos have different shapes and sizes. The bottom of the lighter is stamped with "STERLING," not "925 sterling." It cannot be used with a Zippo butane torch insert. Overall, customer reception of this product is mixed. One customer purchased it as a birthday present and found it easy to clean and fill with Zippo gas. They would recommend it, even though they don't smoke. Another customer appreciated the slick look of the 1935 design mixed with a regular Zippo, but mentioned some slight play in the hinge. However, there was a negative review from someone who received a lighter that was not a genuine Zippo and called into question the company's manufacturing quality.
